Best Cute Kemonomimi Anime Characters
15. Cure Chocolate (KiraKira Pretty Cure A La Mode)
Kenjou Akira is a second year high school student and is one of the six main Cures in the series KiraKira Pretty Cure A La Mode. She has a gentle temperment and is shown to be incredibly loyal, like a dog, the creature she is heavily inspired by.
Akira is a tall teenager with short red hair and sharp eyes. She wears a brown top under a beige and red button-up and a dog tag necklace.
As Cure Chocolat, her vibrant hair becomes spiked with a single brown lock and she gains red pointed dog ears and tail. She wears a chocolate top hat, silver earrings, and a dark brown choker with silver tag. Her outfit consists of a red and brown jacket with the upper-sleeve puffed and the cuff white, accenting the chest. On the chest is a yellow and brown piece of fabric hanging from a chocolate charm. Her furry cream collar matches that of her burgundy boots, which have a paw-like toe section, and pleat skirt. She also wears dark brown shorts, chocolate cape, and white gloves and stockings.
As Super Cure Chocolat, her outfit turns white and brown, the chest stripe and lower sleeves being red. The collar of her jacket is pointed to accent the dark brown and white peplum over her skirt. Her cape is now gold and brown, and her shorts crimson. Her boots are pale brown with an alternate cuff.
14. Cyan Hijirikawa (Show by Rock!!)
An adorable gothic lolita cat girl - even though her name is Cyan (like the light blue colour), her hair is a very dark, navy blue hue and she is a pale-skinned anime cat girl with big, shiny turquoise eyes. She loves music and strawberries and at first, she didn't know that her instrument Strawberry Heart is a legendary type of instrument. She appears wearing a maid like outfit, with short ringlet curls and a white frilly cloth reminiscent of a maid hat on the top of her head. She has a black cat tail and pair of ears and wears stripy socks or tights!
13. Cure Macaron (KiraKira Pretty Cure A La Mode)
Cure Macaron
Yukari’s alter ego is Cure Macaron, the Pretty Cure of beauty and excitement, and she is based on macarons and cats, that whole soft, pink, supposedly Parisian aesthetic the internet loves.
As Cure Macaron, her hair grows longer and thicker, adorned with a large purple macaron on the left of her head with two magenta gems and a lilac ribbon.
12. Kuro Usagi (Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren’t They?)
She can be impulsive, easily flustered and can switch hairstyle/colour at will, this adorable bunny girl is definitely one of the most entertaining anime characters to watch! You’ve seen Kaneki’s Marie Antoinette syndrome. Now prepare for “how can she rock both pink and blue hair so perfectly” syndrome. Kurosagi is known as the black rabbit. And is the protagonist of the show with long blue hair, red eyes, and the distinct rabbit ears unique to her race "Moon Rabbit". When emotional or ready to fight, her hair changes colour to a bright pink.
11. Cure Whip (KiraKira Pretty Cure A La Mode)
Cure Whip
Ichika’s alter ego is Cure Whip and she looks like the anime bunny girl version of Strawberry Shortcake! Pretty accurate since her design is based off shortcakes and rabbits. She is the Pretty Cure of liveliness and smiles and is a bubbly character to match her adorable sugar pink magical girl lolita uniform.
As Cure Whip her eyes remain unchanged, while her thickened hair turns bright pink and ends at the thigh with puffy curled ends to match her gained forelocks.
10. Zakuro (Otome Youkai Zakuro)
Zakuro is a fiesty, impulsive and assertive half-spirit girl who looks like a beautiful girl with fox ears atop her head and lots of bows. She is chosen to be a spirit representative in the Ministry of Spirit Affairs.
However, she is opposed to the idea of forming the Ministry and believes in keeping humans far away from the manor.
9. Yuzu (Konohana Kitan)
Yuzu is a citrus fruit and plant in the family Rutaceae, believed to have originated in central China as a hybrid of mandarin orange and the ichang papeda. This name is perfect for Yuzu, a cheerful girl who finds a job at Konohanatei, a hot springs hotel in a beautiful village. She joins a group of other fox girls working at the hotel and soon forges close friendships with her kind colleagues, they become her family, along with a beautiful relationship with Kiri. It is one cute fantasy slice of life anime combined with some pure yuri scenes, with a little mix of shoujo genre for added drama. If you like fox girls in anime, this is for you. A really heartwarming anime to watch!
8. Felix/Ferris Argyle (Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-)
From the moment Ferris was born, he had cat like appendages due to his ancestors having Demi-Human blood, causing his parents to mistreat him as they suspected an affair. He was locked in the basement of the Argyle Mansion for the first nine years of his life and was barely cared for. When Crusch found him, she described him as "a fragile boy who was painfully thin, was black from being covered in dirt and filth, and couldn't talk properly". Felix Argyle, also known as Ferris, is Crusch Karsten’s knight in the anime. Ferris often refers to himself in the third person, has flax colored hair and yellow eyes, along with cat like appendages that are a result of his ancestors having Demi-Human blood, this being the main reason he was mistreated by his parents.
7. Common Raccoon (Kemono Friends)
Look how cute this adorable kemonomimi girl is! She looks like she is fused with a Pokemon (the most Raccoon Pokemon perhaps being Zigzagoon). She has huge shiny brown eyes and silvery grey hair with raccoon markings and patterns. She has adorable raccoon ears to match, plus a big stripy and fluffy raccoon tail sprouting from her adorable lolita style outfit. Common Raccoon is a Friend that has appeared in all Kemono Friends media to date. She can almost always be found together with Fennec, who tends to follow her around wherever she goes.
6. Chocola (Di Gi Charat)
Chocola is a cheerful and straightforward catgirl with a dog-like personality and traits who is very fond of her master.
She is Vanilla’s twin sister and the youngest among the Minaduki catgirls. She’s not good at dealing with complicated stuff, but she is always friendly and energetic.
5. Ichigo Momomiya (Tokyo Mew Mew)
Ichigo Momomiya - or Zoe from the English dub - is a cat girl anime character from the kemonomimi manga and anime series Tokyo Mew Mew, and she the main protagonist and heroine of the story. She is the first of the Mew Mews to be introduced and her D.N.A is merged with an Iriomote Wildcat. Ichigo regularly undergoes an adorable magical girl transformation as a cat human hybrid, giving her black cat ears and tail as well as bubblegum pink hair and eyes and an adorable outfit to match! Her tail has a magenta ribbon tied around it with a bell. She wears a short carnation pink dress with matching arm garters and a leg garter on her right thigh, along with a choker around her neck. She is the first human animal hybrid magical girl we meet in the anime, encountering the other girls one by one throughout the show, as they all come together to form Mew Mew Power and defend the planet from evil, using their unique powers, strengths and super cool traits!
4. Holo (Spice and Wolf)
The deuteragonist of Spice and Wolf, Holo is a nonhuman, a wolf spirit or deity that lives in the wheat. Originally from Yoitsu, Holo traveled south eventually arriving at Pasloe where she settled down as the village's wheat goddess. In her human form, Holo appears as a 15-year-old girl with long light brown hair and a fringe, and amber eyes, although she still retains her wolf ears and tail, that match her hair.
3. Hatsuse Izuna (No Game No Life)
Similar to other werebeasts, Izuna has a combination of animal and human traits, with her having fox-like ears and a fluffy tail. She has dark purple hair and chestnut eyes (black hair and black eyes in the light novel). Her pupils are vertically slitted, similar to those of a cat.
2. Black Hanekawa (Nekomonogatari)
Since Black Hanekawa is simply the sawarineko assuming control of Tsubasa’s body, she mostly acquires Tsubasa’s physical traits: long hair and a voluptuous figure. However, the sawarineko changes some aspects of Tsubasa’s appearance, changing her hair color to a silvery white, her eyes into a golden hue with slit pupils, a pair of cat ears, and a paler complexion. Unlike Tsubasa, who is soft-spoken and has a reserved personality, Black Hanekawa possesses a completely different personality. She is playful and talkative, her words often laced with the sounds a cat often makes (particularly "nya"), and is sharp-tongued and blunt when talking to someone.
1. Serval (Kemono Friends)
Likely born sometime after the Second Eruption, Serval lived a peaceful life in the savanna area within Japari Park until she met Kaban on the day after the Third Eruption. She is ultra adorable and extremely iconic with short yellow amber hair and eyes, tall fluffy cat ears and a fluffy stripey tail, as well as an outfit decked out in a leopard spot pattern. She's friends with Hippopotamus and decided to follow along on Kaban's journey to find her home and identity.
